Lucía De La Guerra Sasián is a young professional in training in the field of biomedical sciences, with a responsible, inquisitive, and committed profile, working towards the advancement of human health. She has finished the degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Cantabria (average grade: 8.17) and will be complementing her training with a Master's Degree in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine at the University of Cantabria.
During her academic career, she has shown a special interest in subjects such as Neuroscience or Cancer Biology. She completed her university practicum at IDIVAL (Valdecilla Health Research Institute), in the headache unit where she has now been hired, and in which she developed skills in:
- Collection and management of biological samples.
- Database creation and analysis of results.
- Molecular biology techniques (colorimetric and relative fluorescence ELISA).
- Writing scientific articles.
She has strengthened her profile with training in laboratory safety and animal testing (modules B and C).
She is fluent in English with Aptis Advanced C1 certification, and has had international experiences, such as a language immersion stay in Ireland.
